Born Liu Kuo-Yung in 1946, Jason Pai Piao rose to prominence not through cinema but through television, where his contract with CTV in 1975 launched him into stardom with a series of martial arts costume dramas. Though CTV's closure in 1978 dimmed his prospects momentarily, Pai reinvigorated his career with Shaw Brothers, starring in up to five films a year until the mid-1980s. Throughout the 1990s, he maintained his status with key roles in action series and films like "King Of Robbery", solidifying his legacy as a martial arts icon.
