Jennifer Saunders

Jennifer Jane Saunders, born in 1958, is an English comedienne and actress whose career spans decades of television and film. She rose to prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s with The Comic Strip and her sketch show French & Saunders, alongside Dawn French. Her portrayal of Edina Monsoon in the cult hit Absolutely Fabulous solidified her status as a comedic genius, earning her multiple awards including BAFTAs and an International Emmy. Beyond her sitcom success, Saunders has lent her voice to Shrek 2 and appeared in American sitcoms, while also writing and starring in her own projects like Jam & Jerusalem and The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle.
