Jonathan Frakes

Jonathan Scott Frakes, born in 1952, is an American actor and director whose career is inextricably linked with the Star Trek franchise, notably as Commander William T. Riker in "The Next Generation." Beyond his role as a leading man, Frakes directed episodes of Star Trek series and films, including "First Contact" and "Insurrection." His television work spans diverse roles, from Stanley Hazard in "North and South" to Damon Ross in "Falcon Crest," and voice acting in "Gargoyles." Frakes has also ventured into directing and producing for series like "The Librarian," "Leverage," and "Roswell," while authoring novels under ghostwriting arrangements. His personal life includes a longstanding marriage to actress Genie Francis.
