Kate Moennig

Kate Moennig, born in Philadelphia on December 29, 1977, to a Broadway dancer and a violin maker, has carved a career marked by nuanced portrayals of LGBTQ characters. After moving to New York at eighteen to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Moennig rose to prominence playing Shane McCutcheon in "The L Word."
