Kazuya Nakai

Kazuya Nakai, born in Kobe in 1967, is a versatile Japanese voice actor and narrator whose career took a dramatic turn when he left his civil service job at 25 to study voice acting part-time. His breakthrough came with the role of Roronoa Zoro in "One Piece," a character he was eager to voice, propelling him to stardom. Beyond his iconic anime roles, including Toshiro Hijikata in "Gintama," Date Masamune in "Sengoku Basara," and Jin Sakai in the Japanese adaptation of "Ghost of Tsushima," Nakai also lends his voice to information and news programs.
