Mahershala Ali

Mahershala Ali, born Mahershalalhashbaz Gilmore in 1974, is an American actor whose career has been marked by critical acclaim and accolades, including two Academy Awards for his roles in Moonlight and Green Book, making him the first Black actor to win two Oscars in the same category. After an MFA from New York University, he broke through in television with roles in Crossing Jordan and The 4400, and his film debut in David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. His influence extends beyond acting, with executive producing credits on children's programming and a role as a troubled detective in HBO’s True Detective.
