María Valverde Rodríguez, born in Madrid’s Carabanchel district in 1987, emerged early as a prodigious talent in Spanish cinema. At sixteen, she secured a leading role alongside Luis Tosar in Manuel Martín Cuenca’s “La flaqueza del bolchevique,” a performance that earned her the 2003 Goya Award.
