Melissa Leo
Melissa Leo, born in 1960, began her acting career in 1985 with a Daytime Emmy nomination for "All My Children." She gained prominence for her role as Det. Sgt. Kay Howard in "Homicide: Life on the Street" from 1993 to 1997. Critical acclaim followed in 2010 when she won a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Alice Ward in "The Fighter."
