Method Man

Clifford Smith, known professionally as Method Man, is an American rapper and actor born in Staten Island, New York, in 1971. His stage name pays homage to the 1979 film The Fearless Young Boxer, and he achieved prominence as half of the duo Method Man & Redman, alongside fellow rapper Redman. With Wu-Tang Clan and individually, he has left an indelible mark on hip-hop, including a Grammy win for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group with Mary J. Blige. On screen, he has appeared in films like "Belly," "How High," and "Garden State," and on television, he co-starred with Redman in the Fox sitcom "Method & Red" and played Calvin "Cheese" Wagstaff in HBO's "The Wire.
