Miranda Cosgrove, born in 1993, is an American actress and singer who began her career with early television commercial appearances and a notable role as Summer Hathaway in the 2003 film School of Rock. She gained prominence as Megan Parker on Drake & Josh before starring as Carly Shay in the Nickelodeon series iCarly, a role that earned her $180,000 per episode in 2010, making her the second-highest-paid child star. Beyond iCarly, she voiced Margo in the Despicable Me franchise and starred in the short-lived NBC sitcom Crowded.
