Mona Freeman

Mona Freeman, born Monica Elizabeth Freeman on June 9, 1926, began her career as a professional model in high school before Howard Hughes signed her to a movie contract, which he promptly sold to Paramount. Initially typecast in juvenile roles, Freeman’s acting competence became evident as she transitioned from youthful ingénue to more mature parts, though this shift coincided with a downturn in her film fortunes, relegating her to "B" westerns and crime dramas. Her cinematic output dwindled in the late 1950s, but she sustained a television career well into her later years, maintaining a presence on screen long after her initial promise in Hollywood.
