Napaphat Kaewmanee

Opal is a Bangkok-based filmmaker whose work explores memory, belonging, and the relationship between people and place. Her interests lie in both documentary and narrative filmmaking, with a focus on stories that reflect social change and personal experiences.

She recently graduated with a degree in Film and Digital Media. During her studies, she worked as a producer on a thesis film project and directed a short fiction film. The Permanent Guest marks her first documentary short as a director.
