Peter Coyote, born Rachmil Pinchus Ben Mosha Cohon in 1941, is an American actor, author, and director whose career spans stage, screen, and audio books. A founding member of the Haight-Ashbury Diggers and a key figure in the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Coyote's activism and artistry were chronicled in "Voices from the Love Generation." His stage work includes directing the Minstrel Show and co-authoring the Obie Award-winning play "Olive Pits." After serving on the California Arts Council, Coyote transitioned to film and television, where he has narrated major events and campaigns, including the 2002 Winter Olympics and Apple's iPad launch.
