Alongside his late wife, Lisa Blount, McKinnon won an Academy Award for their 2001 short film "The Accountant," a testament to their collaborative vision. Founded with Blount and Walton Goggins, Ginny Mule Pictures remains a cornerstone of their creative endeavors. After Blount's passing in 2010, McKinnon continues to reside in Little Rock, Arkansas, a city steeped in the memories of his partner and muse.
