Rex Maynard Linn, born on November 13, 1956, is an American actor whose career spans television and film, most notably as Sgt. Frank Tripp in the enduring CBS drama CSI: Miami and as Kevin Wachtell in the Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul. His versatility extends to the silver screen, where he portrayed Richard Travers in the high-octane action thriller Cliffhanger. More recently, from 2017 to 2024, he anchored the series Young Sheldon as the principled Principal Tom Peterson, bringing depth and warmth to the role.
