Rhys Darby

Rhys Montague Darby, born in 1974, is a New Zealand comedian and actor whose career began with army service and the formation of comedy duo Rhysently Granted. Known for vibrant stand-up, mime, and sound effects, Darby gained international recognition as Murray Hewitt in "Flight of the Conchords." He has since starred in films like "Yes Man" and "Jumanji," and television shows including "Our Flag Means Death," where he took on dramatic roles, notably as the fictional pirate Stede Bonnet opposite Taika Waititi. Beyond acting, Darby writes children's books and hosts the cryptozoology podcast "The Cryptid Factor.
