Richard Ng Man-Tat

Richard Ng Man-Tat, known affectionately as "Uncle Tat," was a staple of Hong Kong cinema from the late 1980s through the 2000s, best remembered for his comedic roles alongside Stephen Chow in "mo lei tau" films. Yet, his versatility shone in more somber performances, such as his portrayal of a bitter, abusive father in "Portland Street Blues," a stark contrast to his usual supporting roles. Ng's collaborations with Chow, though pivotal to his fame, did not define the depth of his talent, which was evident in his work with Andy Lau in the "Lee Rock" series.
