Robert Clohessy

Robert Clohessy, born in 1958, has carved out a versatile career in television and theater. His notable roles include Correctional Officer Sean Murphy in HBO’s gritty drama Oz and a recurring part in Hill Street Blues’ final season. Clohessy also lent his presence to daytime dramas like All My Children and Guiding Light, as well as the short-lived Fox series New Amsterdam. In film, he portrayed Jude’s estranged father in "Across the Universe". On stage, he starred as Mike in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Pal Joey. More recently, he has appeared in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, marking his ongoing relevance in television.
