
Roberto de Castro Moreira, better known as Roberto Frota (January 26, 1939, Rio de Janeiro) is an actor, director, producer, writer and Brazilian theatrical author. He started his artistic career in 1969.
Roberto Frota was born in the German Hospital, in the district of Tijuca, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, then federal capital of Brazil. It was the first son of the couple José Arthur da Frota Moreira and Zuleika de Castro Moreira; he was a lawyer, newly appointed Attorney of Labor of the State of São Paulo and later a Federal Deputy for three terms, she was a student at the National School of Fine Arts, a painter and poet.
