Shazad Latif, born Iqbal Amin in 1988, is a British actor whose career spans diverse roles across television. He gained prominence as Tariq Masood in the espionage series Spooks, and later played the dual role of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the gothic series Penny Dreadful. Latif's versatility is further showcased in his portrayal of Clem H. Fandango in the whimsical Toast of London. In 2017, he joined the cast of Star Trek: Discovery as Ash Tyler, a role that brought him international recognition. More recently, he took on the iconic character of Captain Nemo in the live-action series Nautilus, set to debut in 2024.
