Sofie Gråbøl

Sofie Gråbøl, born in 1968, rose to prominence in Danish cinema with her debut in the film adaptation of Tove Ditlevsen's novel "Barndommens gade" and a supporting role alongside Max von Sydow in Bille August's "Pelle the Conqueror." Television brought her further acclaim in series like "Taxa" and "Nikolaj og Julie," but it was her portrayal of Detective Inspector Sarah Lund in "Forbrydelsen" (The Killing) that secured her international fame.
