Tracy Letts, born July 4, 1965, is an American playwright and actor whose work at Steppenwolf Theatre laid the groundwork for a prolific career. His play "August: Osage County" earned him a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award in 2007, while his performance as George in the 2013 revival of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" secured him another Tony for Best Actor. Letts's repertoire includes "Killer Joe," "Bug," and "Superior Donuts," the latter adapted into a TV series.
