Valerie Chow

Valerie Chow Kar-Ling, a former Hong Kong actress, transitioned from starring in Wong Kar-wai’s “Chungking Express” to a career in fashion and entrepreneurship. Her screen presence earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Prior to her acting career, Chow was a runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong pageant and became the first Chinese model signed by Revlon. Since 2003, she has worked as a fashion publicist and opened the children’s designer store Mama Kid in 2010. In 2018, she returned to acting in Cao Fei’s experimental film “Prison Architect,” premiering at the Berlin International Film Festival.
