Beyond minor roles in mainstream cinema like "Goodfellas," he is best known for independent films such as "Buffalo '66" and "The Brown Bunny," which he wrote, directed, starred in, and often scored. Early in his career, Gallo was a painter in New York's art scene and a member of the hip-hop duo Graffiti Rock, later transitioning to music with industrial band Bohack and solo recordings.
