Willem Hendrik Nagel (Zwolle, 25 August 1910 - Leiden, 27 July 1983) was a Dutch jurist and criminologist, but became best known as a writer. His pseudonym J.B. Charles was originally an alias in the resistance during the Second World War. The war also left a strong mark on his work.
