Wong Yue, a Hong Kong martial arts actor active during the golden era of Shaw Brothers Studio, carved out a distinctive niche for himself through his comedic turns alongside Gordon Liu in films like 'Dirty Ho' and 'The 36th Chamber of Shaolin'. Despite occasional confusion with the elder star Jimmy Wang Yu, whose name he was given as a rebuke by the studio's founder, Wong Yue left an indelible mark on the genre with his playful screen presence. His career, spanning numerous productions, ended prematurely with his death from acute pneumonia on May 16, 2008.
