Jaylah is an alien warrior and scavenger introduced in the Kelvin-timeline film Star Trek Beyond (2016). A survivor of the villain Krall, whose forces killed her family, she made her home in the crashed hulk of the USS Franklin on the planet Altamid, concealing it with holographic technology and defensive traps.
Resourceful and formidable in combat, she allied with Montgomery Scott and the stranded Enterprise crew in 2263 to defeat Krall and save Starbase Yorktown, afterward accepting an invitation to Starfleet Academy.
