Liam Shaw was a Human Starfleet officer, born in Chicago, who commanded the USS Titan-A in the early 25th century. As a young engineer aboard the USS Constance, he was one of only ten survivors of the Battle of Wolf 359, an experience that left him bitter toward Jean-Luc Picard, whom the Borg had transformed into Locutus.
A decorated but abrasive captain, Shaw clashed with Picard, Riker, and Seven of Nine before earning their respect. Fatally wounded during the Frontier Day crisis, he passed command to Seven of Nine and posthumously recommended her promotion to captain. He appears in Star Trek: Picard.
