Lore was a Soong-type android constructed by Doctor Noonien Soong and Juliana Soong at the Omicron Theta colony, built in Soong's image and embodying the first successful example of a fully functional positronic brain. He was the elder "brother" of the android Data and of the prototype B-4.
Extremely advanced but emotionally unstable and malevolent, Lore came to see himself as superior to Humans and repeatedly turned against his creator and his brother, at one point styling himself the leader of a group of rogue Borg. His personality was ultimately merged into Data. Lore appears in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard, and was portrayed by Brent Spiner.
