Mogh was a male Klingon of the Klingon Empire in the early 24th century, an influential figure best known as the father of Worf and Kurn and the head of the House of Mogh. Though never seen on screen, he is a central figure in the backstory of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
In 2346, suspecting the high-ranking Klingon Ja'rod of collaborating with the Romulans, Mogh traveled to the Khitomer outpost with his wife and young son Worf, leaving his infant son Kurn in the care of his ally Lorgh. Mogh and his wife were killed when the Romulans attacked Khitomer. Two decades later the Klingon High Council posthumously framed Mogh for the betrayal to shield the powerful House of Duras, leading Worf to accept discommendation rather than reveal the truth.
