Seska was a Cardassian operative of the 24th century who, genetically altered to appear Bajoran, infiltrated the Maquis under Chakotay to steal their secrets. When her Maquis raider was stranded in the Delta Quadrant, she was forced to join the crew of the USS Voyager, where she chafed against Starfleet principles.
After her Cardassian identity was exposed, Seska defected to the Kazon-Nistrim and became the consort of First Maje Culluh, repeatedly scheming to capture Voyager and its technology.
