A grade three sensor analyst in the astrometrics department under Seven of Nine, she struggled with the technical demands of her work and doubted her place among the crew.
Despite her insecurity, Celes proved her courage on a Delta Flyer survey mission in 2376, refusing to abandon Captain Janeway with the words "a crew does not abandon its captain." She was later among the Voyager crew brainwashed by the Quarren, and by 2384 was serving aboard the USS Dauntless.
