Aktropaw was a Dathomirian Nightsister witch and one of the Great Mothers, a trio of witches who claimed the power to read the threads of fate and destiny. She allied with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo) and, alongside the Great Mothers Klothow and Lakesis, presided over events on the distant world of Peridea.
The character debuted in the Ahsoka television series episode "Part Six: Far, Far Away." Her name echoes Atropos of Greek mythology, one of the three Fates, mirroring the Great Mothers' stated command over destiny.
