AL-42 was a train operator droid that ran a train for the Pyke Syndicate across Tatooine's Dune Sea around 5 ABY, killing Tusken Raiders and their banthas along its route. When Boba Fett and a band of Tuskens attacked and boarded the train, the droid leapt from a window to escape. AL-42 first appeared in "Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine" of The Book of Boba Fett.
