Amanaman was a male Amani headhunter from the planet Maridun who gave up headhunting to work as a bounty hunter for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Gangly and flat-bodied, with cruel red eyes, enormous hands, and a staff topped by three humanoid skulls, he lived among the courtiers of Jabba's Palace on Tatooine.
He was present through the events surrounding the rescue of Han Solo in 4 ABY, agreeing to alert Lando Calrissian when Boba Fett arrived and later joining the trap set for Princess Leia Organa. Amanaman first appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
