Amari was a human who served the Galactic Empire as an Imperial swamp trooper. By around 18 BBY, Amari held the rank of captain and wielded an E-22 reciprocating double-barreled blaster rifle as a soldier of the Imperial Army.
During a massacre of a planet's population, Amari sought out Sergeant Lear aboard their starship, unaware that Lear was secretly helping a stowaway girl escape and would soon desert the Empire. Amari appeared in a flashback in the Andor episode 'Make It Stop'.
