Ask Aak was a male Gran who represented the planet Malastare in the Galactic Senate during the final years of the Galactic Republic, replacing the assassinated senator Aks Moe.
A member of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine's Loyalist Committee during the Separatist Crisis, Aak was a vocal proponent of military action against the Confederacy of Independent Systems and advocated the creation of a clone army to defend the Republic, a stance that helped bring about the Grand Army of the Republic and the Clone Wars.
He remained within Palpatine's inner circle through the war, was among the senators who greeted the Chancellor after his rescue at the Battle of Coruscant, and was present in the Senate when the Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire.
