Gonky was a defective GNK-series power droid best known for serving alongside the elite clone squad Clone Force 99, also called the Bad Batch, aboard their attack shuttle the Marauder. Although his power unit could never fully charge, Gonky became a fixture of the squad, providing supplemental power to the ship and doubling as a table for board games and as exercise equipment for the strongman Wrecker.
Gonky shared a particular bond with the young clone Omega, who used him as a resting spot and confided in him. After passing through many adventures with the Bad Batch, Gonky ultimately accompanied Omega when she left to join the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
