L3-37, abbreviated L3 and also known as Elthree, was a one-of-a-kind feminine self-made piloting droid who served as navigator and co-pilot to the smuggler Lando Calrissian during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Having assembled and upgraded herself from the scraps of other droids, including an R3-series astromech brain module and protocol droid processors, she became one of the most self-aware droids in the galaxy and a fierce advocate for droid rights.
