Taanti was a Weequay male who owned and tended a cantina in the Tatooine town of Freetown, also known as Mos Pelgo. After the Battle of Endor, he survived a Mining Collective attack on the town with the help of Cobb Vanth, who went on to become Freetown's marshal.
Taanti served spotchka to Vanth and the bounty hunter Din Djarin, and joined the townsfolk, Djarin and a band of Tusken Raiders to slay a krayt dragon threatening the settlement. Though he initially argued Freetown wanted no part of the "city folk fight" against the Pyke Syndicate, after Vanth was gunned down by Cad Bane he and the town's garrison joined the Battle of Mos Espa, helping drive the Syndicate from the planet. He was portrayed by W. Earl Brown.
