Eddison Tollett, known as 'Dolorous Edd' for his gallows humour, was a steward and later acting Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and a close friend of Jon Snow. Descended from House Tollett of the Vale, he served through the great ranging beyond the Wall and the defence of Castle Black.
