Jeor Mormont, called the Old Bear, was the 997th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch in HBO's Game of Thrones. Once Lord of Bear Island and head of House Mormont, he abdicated in favor of his son Jorah and took the black, rising to command the Watch from Castle Black.
