Mag Mar Tun Doh Weg, known to the wildlings as "Mag the Mighty," is a giant and a leader among the giants who join the Free Folk army united by Mance Rayder. Mance calls him the king of the giants, the last of a bloodline said to stretch back to before the arrival of the First Men in Westeros.
In Game of Thrones, Mag takes part in the great wildling assault on the Wall, riding a mammoth to the gate of Castle Black. Enraged by the death of a fellow giant, he lifts the castle's massive gate with his bare hands and charges into the tunnel beneath the Wall.
There he is met by a small band of the Night's Watch led by Grenn, and both Mag and the defenders die holding the gate. His role is charted on the Timeline.
