Shaggydog is a direwolf in the HBO series Game of Thrones, one of six pups found by the children of House Stark and raised by the youngest Stark, Rickon. He is distinguished from his littermates by his black fur and wilful, aggressive temperament.
On screen Shaggydog stays at Rickon's side through the fall of Winterfell and the family's flight north, before the pair are separated from Bran. He is later killed by House Umber, whose lord presents the direwolf's severed head to Ramsay Bolton as proof that Rickon has been captured.
