Summer was the direwolf of Bran Stark, one of six pups found by the Stark children in the first season of Game of Thrones. Fiercely protective of his master, he killed an assassin sent to murder the comatose Bran and remained at his side through the boy's flight from Winterfell and his long journey beyond the Wall.
