Aberforth Dumbledore is an English half-blood wizard, the second son of Percival and Kendra Dumbledore, younger brother of Albus and older brother of Ariana. The proprietor and barman of the Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade, he was long estranged from his celebrated brother, whom he blamed for the childhood death of their sister Ariana.
A member of the original Order of the Phoenix during the First Wizarding War, Aberforth aided Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger during the Second Wizarding War, sending the house-elf Dobby to rescue them and opening a secret passage between his inn and Hogwarts. He fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and survived. Within the film adaptations he appears in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
