Amycus Carrow is a dark wizard and Death Eater, the brother of Alecto Carrow. A member of Slytherin House in his youth, he and his sister served Lord Voldemort in both Wizarding Wars.
After the fall of the Ministry of Magic in 1997, Amycus was installed as the Dark Arts professor and Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts under Headmaster Severus Snape, where he was notorious for using the Cruciatus Curse as punishment.
