Fenrir Greyback was a werewolf and one of the most feared servants of Lord Voldemort, infamous for his savagery and his preference for attacking children in order to spread lycanthropy. It was he who infected the young Remus Lupin. Though he allied himself with the Death Eaters, he was never granted the Dark Mark.
He fought in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, where he savaged Bill Weasley, and later led a band of Snatchers under Voldemort's regime. At the Battle of Hogwarts he attacked Lavender Brown before being overcome. Chronological detail is presented in the Timeline.
