Scabior is a wizard and a Snatcher active during the height of the Second Wizarding War, hunting Muggle-borns and enemies of Lord Voldemort's regime for gold. In the film adaptations his role is expanded so that he, rather than Fenrir Greyback, leads the band of Snatchers that captures Harry, Hermione and Ron and delivers them to Malfoy Manor.
At the Battle of Hogwarts he leads an army of Snatchers into the castle and duels Neville Longbottom on the Wooden Bridge, falling to his death when the bridge collapses.
