Bill Ferny Sr. is a Man of Bree who appears in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug as the father of the later agent Bill Ferny. Working as an assassin and mercenary alongside his partner the Squint, he is hired by Azog to kill Thorin Oakenshield but fails when Gandalf intervenes at the Prancing Pony. A non-canonical character created for the film trilogy, he was portrayed by Dallas Barnett.
